jessegoobz@yahoo.com wrote:on another note, and probably better in a different thread, i bought Flirt at the same time as Spyder. I'm getting some mileage out of Spyder, although now it's not working, but Flirt has been a huge letdown. I've been flagged every time I've sent friend requests on facebook. i started at 20, flagged, then 15, flagged, then 10, and i got flagged again. now i need to wait a week before i can send any requests.
i haven't been able to even generate any new likes on my page...can someone even give a good roadmap to do so??? Flirt is extremely non-user friendly and not a very good option for bands/musicians. Maybe it works better for businesses?
Not happy i spent money on Flirt at all unfortunately.
That's not a Flirt problem, that's a problem with Facebook not really wanting people to be friends (odd for a social network). If you send the same friend requests in Safari, or on the iPhone or whatever you will get the same results. This is how it happens:
1. You send friend requests to people.
2. They click the "Not Now" button after receiving your friend request.
3. They then take the extra step of clicking the "Don't know <name>?" link.
After this happens some number of times Facebook blocks you from sending friend requests. How they determine this is their secret, but I suspect if you have enough people accepting your friend requests you can offset the people clicking the "Don't know" link.
How you present yourself on Facebook will influence how well you can make new friends on it. If your profile is littered with "buy this" "watch this", "go to this show" then you'll probably get blocked frequently.
I know some people have several accounts to offset the chances of being blocked as well.
I'd like to know what you think is "non-user friendly" with Flirt so I can improve that part.
