From my experience trying to work through this issue I've discovered that you may improve your chances of not running into this issue if you avoid manually saving the document. The problem is being worked on and I hope to have a solution soon. You will experience this issue if you are importing a lot of user profiles, usually the process will crash due to running out of memory at some later point. You can some what reduce the possibility of a crash by only importing a few user profiles at a time, and by reducing your maximum number of connections. (rdar://problem/6455535 and rdar://problem/6452901) Worked-around Mac OS X bug that would sometimes cause a crash when Spyder first launches. MySpace changed how their friend requesting code works and Spyder has been updated to be compatible with it. MySpace rolled back their new event invitations code to the older method, thus Spyder has reverted to using the older code as well. Fixed bug that caused hang when deleting friend requests. If you continue to have problems with this try lowering the maximum number of connections in the Network preferences. The more simultaneous connections you allow the more memory that is required to be held before it is written to the database file. MySpace has recently updated their login procedure to now (finally) login using encryption. It seems that sometimes their server certificate isn't in the root certificate authority and this could cause an error during login "bad server certificate". Friend requests work again. The "Strangers" sidebar item is now a global special item (just like the "Black List"). This should clear up any confusion it had earlier with sending friend requests. "Strangers" is now the inverse of the "Black List" which means when you are working in "Strangers" you should always be able to send friend requests. New preferences "Data Storage" which allow you to control how much data you are storing in your files. Added an option to perform a partial upgrade of an older Spyder 1.4 user library. A partial upgrade will copy over only user's identifiers and the custom folders you had them in. Once you have them in a 2.0 format database you can then refresh their details from MySpace directory. It may be necessary to use this option if you are running out of memory when trying to do a full upgrade of a previous user library. Window locations, and list views column widths and sort orders are now saved. An alert will be displayed if you are trying to send friend requests to users that are all in the "Black List" sidebar item. Improved the "Strangers" per-account sidebar item. Now only users you can send friend requests are listed wich means the "Strangers" sidebar item will now only show users you aren't friends with, haven't sent a friend request to, and aren't in the "Black List" sidebar item. Fixed incompatibility when people with over 999 pages of friends would cause only the first page to be downloaded. The "Black List" sidebar item contains users that are friends with any of your accounts, that any of your accounts have sent friends request to, any of your accounts have received friend requests from, or that you've manually added. Using Little Snitch and Spyder will cause Little Snitch to crash and Spyder to hang indefinitely. This is a problem with Little Snitch not Spyder. To view other users friends (assuming you have them downloaded), double-click the user in either the list or icon views. Use the back and forward arrows to navigate the relationship history. Event invites are now supported. Before you can send event invites you must load them either by synchronizing or selecting the appropriate action. To send event invites select some users and then either choose the appropriate action or control-click to bring up the contextual menu. Sidebar improved to allow smart folders, automatic tracking folders and now lists all known accounts. Also included is the Black List special smart folder which automatically excludes users from being sent friend requests. Bulletins now support start and stop times, and an option in the preferences controls whether old bulletins are deleted before new ones (with the same subject) are posted. Tracking of friend requests, messages and comments sent can now be reset. User photos are now downloaded and viewable, simply select Photos in the user pane. It is now possible to upload a photo of your own also. Activity view is now integrated into the main window. Audible alerts are now available for received CAPTCHAs and new messages.
